I really like Super Metroid and feel that it is one of the greatest games ever created. The atmosphere is terrific, complimented by the eerie BGM and the alien, oppressive artstyle. Its honestly very atypical compared to other Nintendo games, in terms of atmosphere and style, even compared to later Metroid games. Another thing is that the gameplay can be rewarding for both new players and seasoned veterans, and delivers many different things for both demographics.

There are too many games I dislike, so it'd be better to list what I don't like about most games for the sake if brevity. I dislike games that remove too much player agency, and follow the design choice of rewarding the player for every little mundane action. I hate hand holding and cinematic heavy games and like arcadey games, basically.p

Battlefield 3 was a nice game but the blue tint was horrible, the hit detection was laughable and server rental was way too expensive.

I still think it's a nice game despite its problems.

Oblivion is ridiculously comfy, but I've been getting motion sickness from playing it lately for some reason.

I think Umihara Kawase probably fits both, actually. It's my favorite SNES game, because it's so quick to just pick up and play, the puzzles are a lot of fun, and the mechanics work well.

It's my most hated game, because the platforming is incredibly difficult, and it feels like it was made for the same sort of people who have already tired of those hyperdifficult japanese romhacks of Super Mario.

Umihara Kawase has an amazing physics engine for a SNES game. And that absurd atmosphere it has makes the whole thing a surreal experience.

Super Mario Bros 3 for me. It is just the right difficulty to play actively and zone out with my thoughts. I used to enjoy Midnight Club 3 for the same reason but I haven't played since my playstation broke and it's not holding up so well.

Least favorite is The Sims 2. That one gives the bad kind of zoning out where lose 10 hours and feel exhausted instead of being with the flow. And I hate that it's concept is playing virtual dollhouse where you can do anything, but really nothing because the simulation is so shallow, and yet I come back to it again and again.

Favorite game: crusader kings 2 due to the crazy things you can do like marry a horse or conquer the world as a gnostic nomad horde or kidnap and execute people. Best rpg and best strategy game imo.

Hated game: sonic adventures 2. When I was young I got so frustrated at this game that I punched the floor and dislocated and fractured my pinky finger.

why I don't have favorite games? Hated games? None that I remember.

Favorite. I never finished Twilight Princess, but i really enjoyed the 5 or 6 hours i played it. Tonight Twilight Princess feels like the right answer to that question. It has a good atmosphere. If it wasn't Twilight Princess it would be GTA San Andreas, also because of atmosphere, and fond memories of playing it. I dream of San Andreas fairly often.

Least favorite. Maybe Ratchet and Clank Into The Nexus. I tried it out after not having played since Up Your Arsenal, and was really disappointed by how short it was and that they made it so there was a finite amount of currency in the game rather than letting you grind it on levels. I'd spent hundreds of hours just playing levels over again to collect bolts in 2 and 3. Nexus isn't difficult or detailed enough to be any fun to replay either imo.
